Day two of Belonging Week is off to a rockin' start! 🤘🎸
Mr. Brad Taylor came to share his experiences with our dolphin family today! Mr. Taylor was paralyzed at 26, but he hasn't let that stop him from finding time and activities to indulge in - one of which is skiing!
When asked about what one thing he thinks would be good for kids to know regarding inclusivity and accessibility, Mr. Taylor wanted to encourage kids to think about all the different ways they can be a friend. Not all activities are accessible or enjoyable to everyone, so sometimes friendship and inclusivity might require us to go out of our comfort zones. It might require us to try something new. It might mean reimagining and expanding what friendship looks like to us and what friends can do and enjoy together.
Thanks for being a rockstar and role model for our dolphin family, Mr. Taylor! 🎸🤘

Today kicks off our second annual Belonging Week here at A.D.!
🐺🐬Edmond Santa Fe's Unified Partners Club came to talk to our dolphins about their club and what belonging and inclusion looks like for them! Students with and without disabilities are able to build community and make memories through unified sports, volunteer opportunities, and special events!
This extension of belonging and inclusivity was great to see within our own vertical, and we were ecstatic to see some dolphin alumni (and a dolphin sibling) representing our Angie Debo values and paving the way for our current students!
Club members put up the first pieces of our Belonging Week mural as a reminder that we're all connected and we all belong!
Thank you, Santa Fe Unified Partners Club, for being an example to us all! 🐬🐺

It was a very special morning here at A.D. as veterans came to enjoy breakfast and Dolphin Splash with us!
Thank you, veterans, for your service and for being an example of selflessness and dedication to us all! ❤️

🏈Bedlam might be over, but our Food Drive is just warming up!
Sooner fans, you have a chance for redemption this week, but our Cowboys might have other plans! ❤️🧡
🐬Did you know that our Bedlam Food Drive directly benefits Edmond families in need? What better way to start off your holiday season than by spreading the love within our own community!

💜🐬It's a great day to be grateful!
These students were hand-picked by their teachers for exhibiting gratitude in their daily disposition!
Way to go everyone; keep being an example to the world around you! 🐬💜

Hey, cool cats and daddies, we've got some news to share!🎙️
What's better than celebrating the 50ish Day of School?
Celebrating our Support Employee of the Year, Ms. Jessica Duncan! She's the bee's knees!🐝
Congratulations, Ms. Duncan! We love you and appreciate all that you add to our dolphin family!

👀I'm spying some pretty spooky Halloween costumes!
Which grade level did it best though? The group with the most likes will get a special Dolphin Splash shoutout!
Drop your own costumes in the comments, and have fun trick-or-treating tonight!

What's better than Twin Day? Triplet Day, of course!
Have you met the backbone(s) of our building yet?
We could not function without the daily work, effort, and love of Mrs. Jordan, Mrs. Mitchell, and Mrs. Smith!
Drop your Twin Day pics in the comments below!

It was a SLIMY morning here at Angie!
For being the top-earning class in our Boosterthon fundraiser, Mrs. Smith's little dolphins were able to SLIME Mr. Goodrich - and wow, they did a thorough job!
Thanks to our friends and family for all of their Boosterthon support and to our fabulous PTO for hand-mixing this slimy concoction!
Happy Friday, dolphins!

👩🏫Today's Red Ribbon Week dress-up theme was "Dress As Your Favorite Teacher," and we have to admit that the outfits were spot on! 🧑🏫
Check out some of the recurring themes we noticed across the building today!

Where's Mr. Goodrich???
Today was Silly Sock Day for Red Ribbon Week, and Mr. Goodrich came prepared! While running around the building, he still managed to change socks every hour! Can you guess where he's at in these photos? Specificity is key! 🧦
Drop your student's guesses in the comments for a chance to get a Dolphin Splash shout-out!

Due to the TREMENDOUS success of our Book Fair, Ms. Ashcraft and Mrs. Merrell were not only able to buy so many NEW, GREAT titles for our library, but they also gifted each teacher with a book from his or her wishlist!
Thank you for all your support; we're better together! 📚

Pucker up, Mrs. Williams! 😘
To celebrate our Boosterthon success, BGP Ranch and Aviaries brought out Delilah and her baby, Asher, to give Mrs. Williams a little smooch!
What a way to start our Friday!

What could be better than Grandparents' Day at the Book Fair? 📖
Our Book Fair is in full swing, so be checking your newsletters for info on Grandparent Luncheons!
And don't forget, Ms. Ashcraft is keeping the Book Fair open for late night shopping during conferences!

R-E-S-P-E-C-T!
These dolphins were recognized at our "Respect Awards" on Friday!
Peep the sibling sets in the first picture - how cool is that?!

Running toward the weekend and that cool front like our Third Grade Fun Runners!

First Grade? More like Fast Grade! The Cross Country coaches said these kids gave the high schoolers a run for their money!

Look at our Fourth Grade runners! 🏃🏃♀️

We want to pause our Fun Run photo dump for a special announcement:
The votes are in, and we are so very happy to congratulate Mrs. Tatum Wilkerson on being the 2023-2024 Angie Debo Teacher of the Year!
Thank you for all the hard work that you do for our students! We love you!

If any group of Fun Runners matched Mr. Goodrich's energy today, it was Second and Fifth Grade! 🏃♀️🏃
