Our office staff is back to work, and we're receiving a couple questions in bulk! 🐬For ease, there is a picture of our school supply list below! 🐬For those of you who haven't received the email outlining the supply fee, essentially we wanted to take something off of your adult plate, and we wanted to make sure teachers got the supplies they needed when they needed them to cut down on storage and potential waste! 🐬If you haven't been able to upload your utility bill, please try to bring that in THIS WEEK. You can also bring in your $30.00 supply fee for grade levels that opted out of traditional school supplies! We can’t wait to see you all!💜

It's WWW, everyone! And this week our second-grade team wanted to take over!🐬 Our little Dolphins certainly experience huge jumps in academic skills each year, but no one sees those jumps quite like second-grade teachers who get to see increased reading fluency and mathematical competencies and the ever-evolving personalities of our sweet friends as they come into their own. They're almost on the upper end of elementary school with all the precious moments and lively energy of early childhood. Second grade is like the perfect middle ground! We also want to take a moment to shout-out Mrs. Krist, who is making the move from kinder to second grade this year! And we need to congratulate former teaching assistant, Mrs. Morris, on her new role as a teacher on our SpEd team! We love seeing our Dolphin family members take on new challenges and roles to better serve our students!🎉 We're only a couple of short weeks away from BACK-TO-SCHOOL, and we can't wait to see you! Until then, we hope you know that everyone here at A.D. loves you, wishes you well, and is eagerly awaiting YOU!💜

Woo-hoo! It's time for Well-Wish Wednesday, and our third-grade team has some SUPER EXCITING news for you! Drumroll, please!🥁 Third grade is now a team of FIVE! In addition to our anchors, Mrs. Bollinger, Mrs. Martin, and Mrs. Yarbrough, we're excited to announce that Mrs. McArthur has made the switch to third grade, and we have a new faculty face, Mrs. Watson!🎉 Third grade is a HUGE year for our Dolphins - who else remembers multiplication facts and state testing (🙋)? But that's not all third grade is! This team knows how to incorporate all the things we love into all the content we have to know, and they do it all while having fun and building community! We're just a few short weeks away from Meet the Teacher, so soak up the sun, indulge in some idle time, and start prepping for a new year! 🐬💜You know what day it is, Dolphins - Well-Wish Wednesday! And this week's well-wishes are brought to you by our fifth-grade team! While we all get to see students grow and thrive from one year to the next, our fifth-grade teachers get a completely unique perspective as they help our Dolphins navigate the transition from their roles as leaders of elementary school into the great unknown that is middle school. To be sure, yearly progress is incredible to see, but there is nothing quite like watching students leave their mark on our community and their legacy in our building as they wrap up their time in elementary school. And what's even better? Our fifth-grade team does everything as a pod family! So while our students are acquiring new skills and preparing for big transitions, they can rest easy knowing that their teachers are there to help them and love them through every single bit of it! Anddddd we have a couple of new faces to introduce to you all! Please welcome Mrs. Holt and Mrs. Lang to our Dolphin family! We are so glad to have them, and we cannot wait for them to see what Angie Debo is all about! It’s Friday - woohoo! If you’re looking for some weekend plans, Summer Social BINGO needs to see some ⛺️camping⛺️ (or glamping, if that’s what you prefer) pics! Inside or outside, blanket forts or tents, the logistics are up to you, but Miss Bell’s basset hounds, 🐶J. Peterman and Larry David🐶, have some practical tips: 1. Find a cozy spot! (We prefer the porch where we can watch neighbors🏃‍♀️, cars 🚗, and squirrels🐿️!) 2. Make sure you have lots of pillows and blankets! (We prefer separate blankets, but Mom made us share because that’s what siblings are supposed to do…or so she says.) 3. Bring your favorite stuffed animals🧸! (We’re not very good at picking up our toys, so Mom only let us bring 7.) 4. Summer camping isn’t complete without s’mores🍫! (We prefer marshmallow cream because we can lick it straight out the jar!) We hope your weekend is off to a great start, and we can’t wait to see those summer camping pics! 🐬

This week's Well-Wish Wednesday messages are coming from our Angie admin team!💜 You might assume that would mean Mrs. Williams and Mr. Goodrich, but I bet you can imagine that the work of running a school could never fall on just two people! Did you know that our counselors and our school psych also play a huge administrative role in our building? Even if you don't interact with this team on a daily basis, each one of our administrators plays a pivotal part in making sure our building is safe, responsive, and nurturing. Whether they're organizing school-wide initiatives and incentives, responding to teacher and student needs, working with individuals to ensure their academic and social success, or just cultivating all-around good vibes, our administrators are the cornerstone of our school culture! So if you love being an Angie Debo Dolphin🐬, you can thank our admin team in the comments because without them, we wouldn't be who we are as a school family!
